Great Basin Bookkeeping, LLC ("we," "us," or "the Firm") is a bookkeeping firm based in Reno, Nevada. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or share it for anyone else's marketing.
SMS consent is not shared. Your mobile phone number and your consent to receive text messages will not be shared with anyone except our texting service provider, which transmits the messages on our behalf. Consent to receive text messages is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
If you provide your phone number and opt in, we may send you text messages related to your inquiry or your account — returning your call, scheduling and confirming appointments, requesting documents we need, and letting you know when your reports are ready.
We use a password manager, multi-factor authentication, and encrypted cloud storage. Access to client records is limited to the Firm's members.
We never ask for, accept, or store your online banking usernames, passwords, PINs, or multi-factor authentication codes, and we do not act as a signer on client accounts. Access to financial data is provided through QuickBooks Online accountant access and bank feeds you connect yourself.
We share information only as needed to perform the services you have authorized, or where required by law. That may include the software providers that run our business — such as our accounting platform, texting provider, and email host — each acting on our behalf.
Client records are retained for seven years, consistent with standard recordkeeping practice. Inquiries that do not become engagements are deleted when they are no longer needed.
